Sarah Huckabee Sanders a day after legislative auditors released a report that found that her office may have broken the law whileThe 68-page audit, released Monday — six months after the legislature approved it, said that Sanders’s office potentially violated state laws by shredding a document that should have been preserved and mishandling the purchase process.
The report was the only agenda item during a Tuesday meeting of state representatives and senators on the Legislative Joint Audit Committee. Judd Deere, Sanders’s deputy chief of staff, told lawmakers during the meeting that the lectern is in the governor’s office. He said that officials have not used it as legislative auditors conducted their investigation but plan to put it into service once it’s finished.
