Joe McElroy: Played well against Down and continued his fine form against Donegal when tasked with marking the in-form Daire Ó Baoill and broke even in his duel. 6.5 Ben Crealey: One of Armagh’s best players on the day, Ben Crealey kicked a point from play and converted a mark and was forced off with an injury. 8
Oisin Conaty: Kieran McGeeney pulled off a masterstroke tasking Conaty with marking Ryan McHugh. The Kilcar man wasn’t able to exert his usual influence and Conaty also scored two from play, but also missed a chance in extra-time. 7.5 Aidan Nugent: Introduced for Turbitt at the end of the game and scored three points, two from play in a superb cameo. 7.5
Mark Curran: Picked up the in-form Rory Grugan and lost his man to an early point. Was playing well afterwards, yet didn’t appear for the second half. 6.5 Caolan McGonagle: Argubally, Donegal’s best defender in their Championship campaign to date. McGonagle delivered another assured performance against Armagh and rarely wasted a ball. 8
Peadar Mogan: Scored two points from play and covered every blade of grass at St Tiernach’s Park. Another outstanding display from Mogan. 8
