Specialist firearms officers were called to the scene on Memorial Road in Methil, Fife, shortly after 9am on Sunday before a 47-year-old man was arrested peacefully more than six hours later.
A man has been arrested after armed police were called to reports of a ‘disturbance’ at a property in Fife on Christmas morning which resulted in a six hour standoff.
A video from the scene shows two armed police attempting to enter a property in the street while a third officer, who was also carrying a gun, stood guard. Police Scotland have confirmed that he has now been charged and is due to appear at court at a later date. No injuries were reported.
