An armed man dressed all in black carried out a terrifying knife raid on a Kilmarnock shop on Halloween. The suspect threatened staff with a knife before fleeing with a till monitor. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
An armed man dressed all in black carried out a terrifying knife raid on a Kilmarnock shop on Halloween.
The assailant brandished a knife when he burst into the convenience store on Knockinlaw Road just before 7pm on Friday - also known as Killieween. The blade thug threatened Stop n Shop staff with the weapon before fleeing from the scene on foot with a till monitor. The suspect is described as white, approximately 5ft 10 and of skinny build. He was wearing a black anorak and was dressed in all black, police have said.Detective constable Gillian Wilson said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak to a man and a woman who were walking dogs near to the shop at the time the man made off.“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3477 of 27 October, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
