A cordon is in place
A man was blasted in the leg following a smash in Crumpsall . Officers were called to reports of a shooting on Woodlands Road, at around 12.50am this morning .
We strongly believe these were deliberate, targeted attacks with no wider threats to the public. While no arrests have been made so far, we are making significant progress and our investigation continues. It came after two vehicles "intentionally crashed into each other" on nearby Crumpsall Lane following a dispute. One of the vehicles was stolen and they both left the scene severely damaged.
Forensics officers and detectives were spotted working at the scene this morning. Residents were being allowed in and out of the building which is at the centre of the investigation.
