THE Philippine Army is in the process of forming the general court martial that will handle the trial of Brig. Gen. Jesus Durante 3rd and other military personnel linked to the killing of businesswoman Yvonette Chua Plaza.'We're now looking for members who will constitute the GCM. We are preparing since the pre-trial investigation is still ongoing,' Army chief Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. said Sunday night.
Brawner has forwarded to the concerned offices the result of the investigation conducted by the 10th Infantry Division's Board of Inquiry, which recommended the trial of the military officers.The Davao Region Police earlier implicated Durante, who was recently relieved as the commander of the 1001st Infantry Brigade, and six other enlisted military personnel in Plaza's killing.Plaza was killed in Davao City in December 2022.
