Jurgen Klopp blooded numerous youngsters into the Liverpool first-team last season, one of which being Calum Scanlon
It has been revealed how long Calum Scanlon could be sidelined following his return to Liverpool. The 19-year-old defender joined Millwall on a season-long loan in the summer but, since suffering a stress fracture in his back, has gone back to Kirby to begin his rehabilitation programme . Speaking to the Southwark News last weekend, Neil Harris confirmed that Scanlon will be unavailable for the Lions' clash against Preston North End in the Championship .
The report states that he has now returned to Merseyside to be assessed and undergo treatment. Scanlon made his senior debut for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp last season, featuring in a 5-1 win over Toulouse in the Europa League . After making a good impression, the German recalled the left-back to the matchday squad for the return fixture in France.
