Liverpool have made a brilliant start to the 2024/25 campaign winning all three of their Premier League games
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has already made Richard Keys eat his own words after an impressive start to life at Anfield. The Reds are currently second in the Premier League , behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference, after winning their first three top flight fixtures. An impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford is the latest result Slot's side have picked up this season. The win saw him break a number of Liverpool records, despite his brief tenure.
It could turn out to be an inspired appointment. But I’m not convinced. 'Why ten Slot? . I guarantee you we’ll hear all the same things they said about ten Hag when Liverpool finally unveil their man. What you won’t hear is an admission that he wasn’t first choice. Or that his record in Holland isn’t even as good as ten Hag’s was.' A 3-0 win over United is a good foundation to build upon, and Keys has now backtracked after a solid start to the campaign.
