It's possible that the stopper could sign an extension to remain at Anfield, and Slot would be wise to have such experience in his squad. Several defenders have been linked, with Sporting Lisbon star Gonaclo Inacio one such player. It remains to be seen how much interest there actually is in Inacio from Liverpool's perspective, but he would certainly add valuable depth to the centre-back department.
Atalanta star Ederson is the latest player to be heavily linked with a move to Anfield. Whether the Serie A midfielder is a genuine target remains to be seen, but his ability would certainly strengthen the options at Slot's disposal in his first season at Liverpool. In terms of potential incomings, Liverpool may be wise to look to sign a possible Salah successor this summer in preparation for when the Egyptian does eventually depart.
