The Dutchman has been out of the dug-out for 18 months since but is ready for a return.
Gio van Bronckhorst has announced he is finally ready to be a manager again next season...over 18 months since he was axed by Rangers.
And he's been linked with a stunning emotional return to former club Feyenoord, with Liverpool set to appoint current boss Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp. Van Bronckhorst guided Rangers to the Europa League Final almost two years ago, but was out the door in November after a poor start to the following season.
He turned down the chance to manage Besiktas last season and has suggested he may not return to management at all because he is enjoying family life too much. However, van Bronckhorst has now confirmed he does want to manage again and he's been linked with a return to De Kuip, where he won the Dutch title with Feyenoord for the first time in 20 years, before his stint at Rangers.
Van Bronckhorst said: "I'm quite relaxed and I'm having a great time. I'm very happy with the way my life is now, but I'm also excited to start again. Hopefully that will be next season. "I'm starting to get that itch to be involved in football management again. I love the dynamics of being a trainer. But I admit I am picky and my feeling at a club must be good."
