Police have issued a public appeal for information
Police have made an arrest after reports a man was attacked in woodland in Middleton, north Manchester. A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation, Greater Manchester Police revealed.
Detectives have now issued a public appeal for anyone with information to come forward. They said they believe two youngsters, understood to be aged around 14, were in the area at the time.In a statement, GMP said: "At around 9.30pm on Friday 17 June 2022, we received a report that a male had been attacked by another male in Alkrington Woods. A 24-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody for questioning.
"Enquiries have so far led us to believe that there were two young people in the area at the time of the incident – we believe they are approximately 14-years-old. I appeal directly to those witnesses or anyone else with information to contact us or Crimestoppers."Anyone with information should contact 0161 856 8576 or 4668 quoting 1060 22/06/22.
