Ward leaves the team after only two years in his role.
Arrow McLaren has confirmed the departure of Gavin Ward, who served in the role as Team Principal with the IndyCar team over the last two seasons. While the announcement came on Tuesday morning, the team shared that Ward's status was effective on Monday, November 18. Per the release, this was a “mutual and strategic decision as the team positions itself for growth and performance” heading into the 2025 season in the IndyCar Series.
” Ward first joined Arrow McLaren in June 2022 as the Director of Trackside Engineering and was promoted to the overarching role of Race Director — which eventually morphed in the title Team Principal — ahead of the 2023 season.
