Thomas Partey has been included in Ghana's World Cup squad AFC
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey have both been included in Ghana’s World Cup squad.
is the standout name in the Black Stars side, with Brighton defender Lamptey, Southampton midfielder Mohamed Salisu and Leicester’s Daniel Amartey also forming part of the 26-man squad.Brighton’s Lamptey is another who will feature for his country in the Gulf State Former Atletico Madrid midfielder Partey continues to star for Premier League table-toppers Arsenal and has proved pivotal for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.
Lamptey, meanwhile, made his first appearance for Ghana back in September, after previously representing England at youth level.The 22-year-old, who was born in England to Ghanaian parents, has benefitted from swapping his international allegiance ahead of theSalisu of Southampton also makes the cut, having only made his international debut in September as a half-time substitute against Brazil. Leicester City defender Amartey is another to get the nod.
