Arsenal star Saliba won’t start for France ‘even if Varane doesn’t play’ – GallasWilliam Gallas doesn’t think Arsenal centre-back William Saliba will start for France at the World Cup even if Raphael Varane doesn’t play.
And despite Saliba’s good form this campaign, former Arsenal defender Gallas isn’t convinced France boss Didier Deschamps will start him. Arsenal legends Emmanuel Petit and Patrice Vieira were in the France squad when they beat Brazil in the 1998 World Cup final and Saliba wants to be in the second squad of French players to win the tournament.
