The inside track on the football stories that matter
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has predicted Manchester City will come out on top over Arsenal in the Premier League title race., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – admitted it’s going to take a Man City “slip-up” for the title to be heading to the Emirates this season.
That fixture is against Tottenham, where Arsenal will be counting on their North London rivals to do them a favour in their bid to lift the Premier League trophy later this month.Wyness is hoping Mikel Arteta’s side can come out on top in the battle for the title after previously signing the former Everton midfielder at Goodison.“There has been a lot of debate, but I’ve got to come out on the sense that Man City are going to be strong enough to do it.
“I’ve noticed Saka has been particularly tough and resilient, whereas before that may not have been the case. He’s certainly impressed with that sort of thing.
