While Liverpool finished third in the 2023/24 Premier League, their form this term has seen them earn 45 points from just 18 games. Arne Slot's Feyenoord side, who were top of the Premier League by eight points, can count themselves unfortunate that they were pipped to top spot in the 2024 rankings by Arsenal. With Liverpool winning the Carabao Cup and Man United winning the FA Cup, it does mean that Arsenal are in the unusual position of being 2024's top dogs despite not winning any silverware. Despite winning the Premier League crown, Manchester City finish 2024 as the third best team in the top flight. Leicester may have finished sixth in the Premier League last term, but their impressive resurgence under Enzo Maresca puts them in fourth place for the calendar year. Further down the table, Tottenham were the ninth best team in the Premier League in 2024 with 51 points from 37 games. With 2025 just getting started, the Premier League's top clubs will be desperate to top the charts as the most successful team of the year. But what will be more important will be the prospect of silverware and each team striving to write their names in the history books
