Mikel Arteta concerned about Thomas Partey ahead of Arsenal clash with Everton AFC
Mikel Arteta might not be ready to risk playing Thomas Partey from the startThe 29-year-old has been key for Arsenal in their quest pick up first league title since 2004 but Arteta’s January move for Jorginho has adequately filled the void left by his absence.
Partey played the final six minutes at the King Power Stadium and Arteta knows the 29-year-old will need more minutes to get himself back on track. “He hasn’t obviously trained much, he’s only had a session and he will train today so it is what it is. He was out for a few weeks and he needs to get rhythm,” Arteta said in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.A win against Everton would fire the Gunners’ five-points clear of closest challengers Manchester City with a favourable run of fixtures on the horizon.
