TWO pooches who have been in the care of Dogs Trust Glasgow for around two years have had their portraits drawn.

TWO overlooked pooches, who have been in the care of Dogs Trust Glasgow for around two years, have had their portraits drawn by an artist.

Long-term lodger Jack, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, arrived at the centre in April 2021 due to concerns for his welfare while Captain, a Staffie Cross, arrived in December 2021 after his previous owner could no longer care for him.Gary, from Coventry, started drawing portraits of the canines in the Dogs Trust care in 2019 as it is a cause close to his heart.Gary said:"I have had the privilege of having two dogs in my life, both of which were adopted from Dogs Trust Rehoming Centres.

"I love to draw a wide variety of breeds to show that there really is a rescue dog out there for everyone. "Jack and Captain have such happy faces and yet have been waiting to be adopted for months so it was my pleasure to draw them.Sandra Downie, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Glasgow, added:"The drawings of Jack and Captain are amazing and capture the wonderful spirit of both boys.
