Boris Johnson seemed to have been clear. In his televised address to the nation, watched by an astonishing 27 million viewers, the Prime Minister, only recently recovered from Covid-19, called on the population to do their bit to defeat the pandemic and get Britain's economy back on track. The great British public, he declared, “should be actively encouraged to go to work”.
