Ever since Thompson was robbed of two seasons because of back-to-back ACL and Achilles injuries, he has desperately wanted to feel like his old self, you know, the guy who was considered one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. But Thompson hasn't consistently played at that level. Through the top of January, Thompson was averaging just 16.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting a career-low 37.7% from the field. He was down. Frustrated. Angry.
