The Australian Signals Directorate could be given authority to commandeer IT systems of Australian companies experiencing a cyberattack under newly proposed reforms, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“That is a question posed, as I understand it, in the discussion paper to be released later today drawn up by
former Telstra boss Andy Penn and others, and that’s on the way forward in terms of cybersecurity policy,” he said.
