Spiders are starting to emerge from nooks and crannies as they look for a mate
An everyday item which costs just £1.45 is the key to keeping spiders out of homes, an expert has revealed.
Jess Steele, heating technology expert at designer radiator specialists BestHeating, recommends combining peppermint oil with water to make a spray and spritzing it onto the inside of curtains, windowsills and in the corners of carpets. The concoction can be bought for £1.45 from Asda.
Another said: "You are likely to see big male house spiders making mad dashes across floors and walls - all in search of a mate." A third wrote: "I don’t care if they do eat flies etc can they eat them somewhere else, just not in my house" while someone else said: "I had three over last weekend."
