One man spent two hours in his local Asda supermarket picking out 13 festive-themed items before scanning them in an order that listed them in a Christmas tree shape
An Asda customer has taken festive preparations to a new level, spending more than two hours in the store arranging his items to make his till receipt resemble a Christmas tree. The dedicated shopper carefully selected 13 festive items such as turkey, tinsel, mince pies and goose fat, deliberately having them scanned in a specific order that would result in the shape of a Christmas tree and its basket on the receipt.
' The creative shopper replied: 'The actual inspiration was once when a guy in front of me at Tesco left his receipt on the till and it was for two bottles of hair gel and a newspaper.' He went on to add: 'For some reason that made me laugh and I realised that you could tell a story via the medium of receipts. This idea has been on the back burner for years but I was recently made redundant and have more time on my hands.
