The fanzones are designed for elderly people to gather together to socialise and enjoy the sport after new research found more than 1.9 million over 65s will be watching the tournament alone.
Asda has launched a special 'Nanzone' at a Glasgow store for over 65s looking to watch Scotland at the Euros this summer.
With traditional fanzones often populated by more boisterous crowds, the new dedicated Nanzone spaces have been specially created to cater to the older generation to ensure they don’t end up following the football alone at home. Ryan said: “It’s been great fun bringing the community together to chat about all things sport, we have so many passionate fans of all ages here getting behind the Scotland team, it’s great to bring them all together and have a bit of debate on how we’re going to do in the tournament. Come on the Tartan Army!”
