The latest supermarket price comparison figures have been revealed
Asda customers have been issued a warning that they could be paying an average of over £156 more for their monthly shops than Aldi shoppers across a year, according to the latest supermarket price comparison figures.
However, Asda was cheaper than Tesco shoppers who don't have a Clubcard - although more expensive than Tesco shoppers using a Clubcard, reports the Express.But Asda did beat Sainsbury's both with and without Nectar cards, and also beat Morrisons, Ocado and Waitrose. Which? has released its supermarket price comparison analysis for June 2024 and for the first time has added in the impact of loyalty cards on prices, including Tesco's Clubcard and the Sainsbury's Nectar card.
The identical shopping basket amounted to £130.90 at Tesco with a Clubcard and £134.30 without one. The same collection of goods came up to £140.19 at Morrisons, whereas at Sainsbury's they were £132.90 with a Nectar card and £137.51 without. Aldi emerged the undeniable victor, recording a clear low with this same basket pegged at £118.41 while Lidl positioned themselves as runners-up with £121.31.
