A notorious Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member allegedly involved in the illegal drugs trade was killed in a shootout with government troops in Barangay Lumbaan Mahaba, Parang, Sulu Wednesday, June 29.

Gan Salahudin, alias “Gan,” was gunned down by the 4th Special Forces Company, 2nd Special Forces Battalion under the 1101st Infantry Brigade. The neutralized bandit was reportedly involved in the illegal drugs trade and affiliated with the notorious Alganil Dawadil Drug Syndicate.
