The trailer for Ashley Judd's upcoming thriller Lazarus dropped. She plays Lee, an overprotective aunt who adopts her nieces and raises them in seclusion during a pandemic.
Ashley Judd is starring in a new movie, which is her first since her mother Naomi Judd passed away two years ago.The Someone Like You star, 55, plays Lee, an overprotective aunt who adopts her nieces Imogen and Maeve after their parents died.'For over 10 years, the girls are raised to never leave the woods, avoid any and all interaction with outsiders, and ultimately rely on Lee as their only connection to the outside world,' according to a synopsis of the movie.
'But, when Imogen and Maeve discover an injured man in the nearby woods, Lee’s absolute control begins to disintegrate as their faith in her, and everything they’ve ever known, begins to unravel,' the synopsis continued. The movie also stars Katie Douglas and Sarah Pidgeon as her nieces and Asher Angel as the injured man.
'Lee has convinced the girls this is the key to survival in what is now an infectious and violent world'
