EXCLUSIVE: Ashley Roberts chats to OK! about how female friendships are the most important thing to her, and shares which of the Pussycat Dolls she's still in touch with
She’s no stranger to globetrotting, having travelled the world as part of one of the biggest girl groups in pop history. But despite being a seasoned jetsetter, Ashley Roberts is positively giddy after her latest adventure. The Pussycat Dolls star has recently landed back in the UK after her first ever cruise and, when we sit down for a catch-up, she’s still on a high.
Ashley lights up when talking about the women in her life. Having been an integral part of the Pussycat Dolls at the peak of their success, she’s well versed in being around strong women. “Female friendships, to me, are the most important relationships of all,” she says. “Romantic relationships are amazing, but your girls are there through the thick, the thin, the good, the bad, the ugly. They pick you up when you’re down. I can’t really imagine life without my girlfriends.
“I think that if you go through anything for a significant amount of time it’s going to bond you, right?” she says. “Something like the jungle or Strictly or whatever it may be, it bonds you with these people for years. We’re keen to know what work parties are like and just how raucous they can get. “We’ve had some boozy brunches for sure,” Ashley tells us with a smile. “But parties? We’re up at dawn and done by 10am – we don’t tend to hit the town and go crazy. Every now and then we’ll get together for an evening, but work starts too early to be crazy.”
