There's no date set, but this summer the beloved San Antonio spot will move from 1014 S. Alamo St. to 1101 Broadway.
Ten 'chaotic, sometimes crazy-good, sometimes crazy-bad, wild, loud, over-the-top, high-voltage years' have passed since Hot Joy opened up in its Southtown digs, and over 280,000 pounds of chicken wings later, the restaurant is making a big move. Hot Joy said Tuesday on social media that it will be saying farewell to its home at 1014 S. Alamo St. and moving to a new spot later this summer at 1101 Broadway .
' In the announcement, the beloved Asian fusion eatery shared some of the most memorable moments from the past decade, which included a crab caramel wing eating contest, a cease-and-desist order, live music, malfunctioning air conditioning, and over 120,000 orders of spam fried rice.
