What do you do when the neighboring table at a restaurant has really loud, unruly children?: Asl Yadi
Published: Aug. 22, 2024, 11:27 a.m.I was with a friend at a restaurant last night. The three children, around 8 to 10 years old, at a nearby table were playing a game. They were really loud, occasionally breaking into even louder “whoo-hoo” when someone scored in the game. The four parents completely ignored them and their rude behavior.
I don’t want to be one of those moms, but my kids sat in their seats and talked at that age. If they were unruly or having a meltdown , their dad or I would walk them out of the restaurant and let the others finish dinner. Sadly, there are parents who tune out their children or either don’t notice their kids’ behavior or just turn a blind eye as they are focused on the fact that they are out.
Like you, when my children were small, if they acted up, I would get my food to go and leave, give them my evil glare , or take them into the restroom and try to get them to settle down.
