Leeds Actors in Training, from Leeds Heritage Theatres, which offers a platform to aspiring performers
The next generation of Leeds acting talent have been given their chance to shine in an intriguing production presented in Chapel Allerton .
Founded in 2018, LAIT was developed in response to a call from young people interested in an acting career, and looking for high-quality training and skills development opportunities run by professional artists. Their latest presentation Find A Partner, by Miriam Battye, is billed as what happens when you stick Love Island, The Hunger Games, Big Brother and Black Mirror in a heart-shaped blender.
The dystopian tale, directed by Lizi Patch, has a wicked sense of humour with those unable to find a partner or uncoupled having a grim demise. During Thursday’s show, the cast caught the right tone with many at Seven Arts laughing, at times nervously, throughout.
