Aston Villa’s former chief Keith Wyness has revealed contacts at his old club feel Douglas Luiz is set to leave this summer., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Villa Park between 2016 and 2018 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested the 26-year-old wants to leave the Midlands giants in the off-season.
Luiz caught the eye with his performances in the 2023-24 campaign, notching 10 goals and 10 assists across 53 games in all competitions as Aston Villa finished fourth in the Premier League.
