Burnley have 'strongly condemned' the incident.
The incident occurred at junction 10 of the M65 and while it has been reported that there was significant damage to the bus – with bricks thrown at the windscreen – it has been confirmed that no-one was hurt.Club is saddened and dismayed to learn about an attack on the Aston Villa team bus at junction 10 of the M65 after today’s match,’ Burnley posted on Twitter.‘We strongly condemn this behaviour and will support Lancashire Police in their efforts to find whoever was responsible.
Lancashire Police, meanwhile, are asking people to come forward with dashcam footage or information over the incident. ‘This incident occurred when a great deal of traffic was leaving the area following the football match between Burnley and Aston Villa,’ Superintendent Melita Worswick said.
