Aston Villa look set for another summer transfer “swap shop” once they sign Man United star Marcus Rashford, says Stefan Borson.
Tim Iroegbunam and Omari Kellyman were sold to Everton and Chelsea respectively just before the 30 June accounting deadline, at the same time as Lewis Dobbin and Ian Maatsen arrived at Villa Park, as a teams looked to exchange their talent for fees which could be immediately recorded on the accounts.Borson posted on X, giving his analysis of Villa’s current financial position, and believes that the Midlands club may have to make similar deals to last summer.
This season has been more of a struggle, as the club sit eighth in the table, four points behind Man City in fourth.
