Aston Villa are planning to increase Villa Park's capacity to over 50,000 AVFC
Aston Villa have announced plans for a stadium expansion with the aim to turn Villa Park into a ‘world class’ venue, increasing its capacity to over 50,000.
That will significantly boost the stadium’s capacity up from its current 42,785, with the hope it will be eligible to host matches during Euro 2028, if England’s bid is successful.to see the stadium become a ‘commercial destination venue and community space’ by drastically increasing and improving facilities both inside and outside the ground.
“It is important that we gain the feedback of our local community, fans, and organisations, as we want them to play a key role in shaping the next chapter in Villa Park’s illustrious history. “The plans reveal our phased approach to redevelopment, considering each stand individually and identifying the necessary upgrades to minimise disruption to the community.
