Atomos agreed to pay out $60,000 to a staff member who was sexually harassed, and says she had to make sure cocaine and cannabis was available to staff.
ASX-listed video technology firm Atomos agreed to pay out $60,000 to a staff member who alleged a former employee sexually harassed her and expected her to make cocaine and cannabis available to staff, amplifying the troubled tech company’s reputation as a “boys club”.
Ms Bloom alleges the fellow employee kissed her on the mouth without consent, and then tried to convince her to sleep with them on several other occasions.‘Drug mules’ Atomos responded to questions regarding the settlement and pointed out that “procuring illicit drugs or expressing concerns about a ‘drinking culture’ at the company” did not feature “as part of the former employee’s claim”.
Ms McGechie alleges Atomos engaged variously in “securities fraud and revenue manipulation”, “falsely reporting material sales forecast information”, “channel stuffing” , and “insider trading”.
