Erik ten Hag is keen to strengthen central defence at Man United amid growing concerns over the fitness of Raphael Varane and potential exit of Harry Maguire.
Manchester United will have to pay at least €50million if they are to sign Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini, according to reports in Italy.
Scalvini burst onto the scene as one of Europe's most promising young defenders during the 2021/2022 campaign and has been a regular feature for Atalanta over three seasons. But United are not the only interested party, with scouts from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all impressed by the versatile midfielder on their trips to De Kuip. Several top European sides are also said to be interested in a future move.
