In a video interview with ‘The Wall Street Journal Magazine,’ the ‘White Lotus’ star revealed that trouble logging in to Max has kept her from watching her Emmy-nominated turn on the Mike White series: “I’d love a DVD.”
It’s been almost two years since Plaza stole scenes as Harper, an uptight lawyer on an awkward couples trip in Taormina, on season two of Mike White’s anthology series. Although she claimed that she intends to watch her season one of these days, Plaza said that she hasn’t had a chance to see her own performance due to technical difficulties. “To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally,” Plaza explained.
“And so what I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old. Or I’ll go on iTunes and just, like, buy the whole Sopranos series, and then my husband will be like, ‘You literally can watch that for free on HBO Max.’” But are pesky passwords the only reason Plaza hasn’t seen The White Lotus? Last year Plaza participated in VF’s Scene Selection video series and revealed that she’s not the type of actor who typically watches herself.
