The Tigers and Buckeyes will meet in Atlanta on Dec. 14
For the fifth year in a row, Auburn’s men’s basketball team will be taking to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena in early December to participate in the Holiday Hoopsgiving tournament, where the Tigers are set to see the Ohio State Buckeyes on Dec. 14.Auburn and Ohio State’s men’s basketball teams have met on the hardwood just once before in a NCAA Tournament South Regional semifinal in 1999.
On the other sideline, Ohio State is coming off a campaign that saw it finish with a 22-14 record and an appearance in the NIT. “Playing every year in Atlanta in the premiere college basketball event has been an important part of the development of this program,” Pearl said in the release. “We were the first and have been the only SEC school to play every year in this important event for college basketball in Atlanta – home to some of the best high school basketball in America. In the last six years, we have had six players from Georgia drafted into the NBA.
