The Auburn men’s golf team will play for a national championship on Wednesday afternoon for the first time in program history.

Ohio State did not go away quietly and came back with two points of their own. However, Auburn senior J.M. Butler handled the pressure with great composure and came back to level the match at two-all. Butler took the lead at the sixth hole and never looked back in a matchup against a familiar foe from the 2023 U.S. Amauter, Neal Shipley.
“We’re playing for so much here,” Koivun said. “I didn’t want to let my team, my school, my coaches down.”
