Police attended the crash on Alan Turing Way
An Audi driver smashed the car into a traffic light barrier outside the Etihad stadium in Manchester on Monday afternoon .
Pictures and video footage from the scene show the silver Audi badly damaged at the front, having appeared to have mounted the kerb and crashed into the metal barrier at the crossing in the centre of the typically busy main road.
