He claims the ultra-exclusive course won't even allow him to play a practice round without the company of a club member, despite having donned the famous green jacket thrice."After all I've contributed to the tournament and been an ambassador for them, I can't go and have a practice round there with my three grandchildren without having to beg a member to play with us, and there's always some excuse," Player told The Times.

Nevertheless, Player is scheduled to be an honorary starter again on Thursday night alongside Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson when the Masters begins.
