CEBU CITY – Thousands of residents in an island-barangay in Talibon, Bohol will benefit from a water system project that started on Monday, September 18.
The potable water system that will use a solar-powered desalination technology will be built in Barangay Cataban.
BOHOL Gov. Aris Aumentado leads the groundbreaking ceremony for the potable water system project in Barangay Cataban, Talibon, Bohol on Monday, September 19. “This project is expected to supply clean water to 5,199 residents in the island,” said Aumentado. The P12-million project is under the Philippine Rural Development Project and is funded by the World Bank and Department of Agriculture.Aumentado said having an ample water supply is part of his administration’s thrust.
“As we aspire for a progressive Bohol, we need to have enough water supply in every part of the province, especially in our island towns and barangays,” said Aumentado.
