An Australian influencer bearing a striking resemblance to Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has been bombarded for selfies at an airport.
While there, he was stopped by 14 different people for photos. He jokingly captioned the video, ‘How do I tell them I’m not Ryan Reynolds’.He was mobbed in Taiwan by over a dozen fans.
Birley explained he did initially try to be honest about his true identity, but people just thought he was “saying no to a selfie”.Birley spoke in his Australian accent during the encounters, which didn’t seem to raise suspicion among the dozens of people lining up for selfies. The video has been viewed more than 80,000 times, with one user questioning, “They didn’t think it was strange you have an Aussie accent?” Birley replied, “No one noticed.”Its attracted hundreds of comments on Birley’s social media accounts, where he has 100,000 Instagram followers and 35,000 TikTok followers.“Ryan Reynolds would not be sitting at the gate,” another added.“I get Ryan Reynolds all the time … Aaily,” he said. “Multiple times a day, actually.
