The Victorian finished the day with 1-29 from 11 overs, having nipped a ball back extravagantly from outside off stump to bowl Shubman Gill for 13 in the middle session.Ben Jones, head of insight at CricViz explained the miracle nature of the delivery.
“The ball from Boland to dismiss Gill had a 33 per cent chance of taking a wicket ,” Jones wrote on Twitter.“That’s the most threatening ball bowled in the game so far, and the 10th most threatening bowled by an Aussie in England since 2006, when tracking was first available.”“None of this could ever do justice to the beautiful setup and subtlety of his craft - Four balls and he literally bowled the wicket ball a few inches wider,” one person wrote on Twitter.“Good stats,” another person said.
