Her grandnephew, Italian Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, tweeted news of her death, calling her "one of the brightest stars of Italian cinematography and culture"., before making her first film appearance in 1946, with a small role in the swashbuckling adventureShe later became a photojournalist and just last year unsuccessfully ran for a seat in the Italian Senate.Senator Jim Molan died aged 72 on January 16, after a battle with an aggressive form of cancer.
Molan was a major general in the Australian Army before entering politics. He represented New South Wales in the Senate. "He was many things - a soldier, a pilot, an author, a volunteer firefighter, and a Senator," his family said in a statement."Our loss is immeasurable, but we are comforted in our memories of a full life courageously lived, devoted to family and in service of the country he loved."
