Victoria could become the first state to reform the use of non-disclosure agreements in workplace sexual harassment claims after state premier Jacinta Allan declared she wants to stop “paperwork being used to silence victim survivors”. Allan on Monday announced her government is opening up a new phase of consultation to change Victoria’s laws, having indicated in July 2022 it was considering reforms.
“We know this is being used in many instances as a tool to silence victims and the consequence of that is we’re not hearing directly from them enough about what we need to do to improve the processes.
