Champion canoeist Jess Fox has broken up with her long-time partner Mathieu Biazizzo, according to News Corp. The Aussie Olympian has been in a relationship with Biazizzo for nine years, but it has now been reported that they quietly split up in May this year. It has been suggested that they have grown apart due to the difficulty of conducting a long-distance relationship over several years . The couple — who have a kept a low-profile during their time together — met through their sport.
“And the fact that he understands what I’m going through. “It also helps that we go to bed early together.” She also spoke about one day starting a family with Biazizzo. “Maybe there’ll be an opportunity to see if I want to have a baby and come back,” Fox said. “They’re conversations that we’ll definitely be having in the next few years, probably.” Neither Fox or Biazizzo have spoken publicly about the split.
