, which found there was substantial truth to allegations he had been involved and complicit in unlawful killings in Afghanistan. Accounts of alleged misconduct by a small number of Australian Special Forces soldiers in Afghanistan began appearing in the media from late 2016. Following the outcome of the defamation case in June this year, Greens senator David Shoebridge called on the War Memorial to remove the former special forces commander's display.
