An Australian woman living in Texas has sparked backlash after posting a controversial TikTok criticising one key aspect of American life.
Mia Chloe posted the video of her walking along a suburban street in the Lone Star state while ranting about the abundance of American flags in the country just a few days ago but has already been forced to delete her TikTok account after hordes of Americans took issue with her post.
“I’m just gonna say it – there are too many American flags,” the young Australian begins in the since-deleted video.“They’re on houses, they’re on cars, saw them on couch cushions … Like I don’t know who’s making these American flags but they’d be making a bloody fortune.” She then goes on to claim America is the “only country” that displays so many of its flags in public places. The Australian woman told Americans the proliferation of flags was “enough”.Her remarks quickly raised the ire of thousands of patriotic Americans, who slammed her in the comments section of her own video. There are too many American flags. Like theyâre on houses, theyâre on cars⦠I think I can draw the American flag from memory.
